She also addresses the ethics of using information from a previous trial of Jeffrey Willis, in his current trial for the murder and kidnapping of Jessica Heeringa.

FOX News – Dec. 29, 2015 – Ethan Couch arrested in Mexico

In June 2013 Ethan Couch, killed four people in a drunk driving accident. Couch was given a 10-year probated sentence and because of his parents wealth was dubbed the ‘affluenza’ teen. In December 2015 a warrant was issued for Couch after his probation officer could not contact him. Couch and his mother Tonya had fled the United States and on December 28, 2015 were detained in Mexico.

August 18, 2015 – Criminal defense attorney Nicole DeBorde and Charles Griffin Intelligence Managing Member Philip Segal discuss the legal responsibilities of Airbnb.

Should AirBnB have legal responsibilities to their guests? A young boy was trapped in a room at an AirBnB guest house in Madrid. His mother called AirBnB, but was only directed to call the Madrid police to solve the problem. Criminal defense attorney, Nicole Deborde tells FOX Business News that AirBnB should be held liable from a legal standpoint. She argues that although AirBnB uses numerous disclaimers, they also stress that “you are our guest,” yet do “absolutely nothing to help their guests when, in this case, there is a crime in progress.” Since it is not feasible to supervise over half a million properties around the globe, Nicole Deborde suggests that AirBnB employees should be well trained to handle emergency situations like this instead of just “[ferrying] the person onto law enforcement.” Thankfully the situation did not escalate and the boy made it out safely.
